Entrance matting may be the last thing on your mind, but a good entrance mat is your first defence at keeping the appearance of your new or existing flooring. There are a huge number of varieties on the market and we know them all and can guide you through which ones are best suited and meet your budget.
There are a number of different constructions of entrance matting dependant on location and the volume of foot traffic:
- Traditional Coir – for low traffic volume/budget areas.
- Barrier mats – loose laid for movable protection to slippery surfaces.
- Entrance carpeting – for medium traffic areas and where height problems exist.
- Steel framed – for high traffic areas.
- Rubber matting – for out-door use.
Each of these mats can be tailored to your requirements with different colours, shapes and sizes available. You can even have your company logo or name on the mat to add that touch of professionalism.
Logo matting is becoming very popular and we have recently carried out these for Charles Tyrwhitt and Asia House. We have also supplied and installed these in corporate offices in London and boutique hotels. Please be aware there are DDA regulations regarding which mattings can be used in public areas so please ring us on 0207 739 5051 to get the correct advice.
Our favourite matting products are the Impact range. They look professional and use the least amount of waste as most matings come in 2m wide rolls and a lot can be waste.
A prestigious project we did was the Australian Embassy where they had gold frames throughout the matting and it looked beautiful.
