Q: Our offices are full of furniture. Can you still replace our flooring?
A: Yes. Selby Carpets specialises in replacing flooring with all the furniture in situ. We use hydraulic equipment to lift desks, cabinets and other furniture.
We also work with a specialist removal company where necessary. For example, we have moved a grand piano in a Harley Street doctors’ practice and 3,000 files in a barristers’ chambers.
Q: I need a quote for our flooring to be replaced. What do I do now?
A: Either send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0207 739 5051 and we will book you in for one of our surveyors to visit you as soon as possible. They will show you samples, take measurements and have a quote to you within 24 hours.
Q: Should I have carpet tiles or 4 meter width carpet for my office?
A: We recommend carpet tiles as they cause less disruption on installation and we will leave you spare tiles that can be easily replaced if stained. We also have a range of carpet tiles called Oxford which look like a normal carpet once installed. We regularly install carpet to common areas and matching carpet tiles to the offices.
Q: Do you stock any flooring?
A: Yes we do. We hold over 3000m2 of carpet tiles in N1 which can be paid for and delivered on the same day. Please go to the carpet tiles page and look at the Harrow and Fernlea ranges for our stock ranges. We also stock natural and black coir matting, a number of safety flooring vinyls, and 6mm contract underlay. Please call to enquire further.
Q: If I order today how long will it take for the work to be completed?
A: We work to a very efficient process allowing us to have your new carpets/hard flooring installed within a number of days from order. If it is to supply the goods only it can be next day delivery subject to available stock. We have had a number of clients call us with an urgent enquiry and we have installed the following day using our stock carpet tiles.
Q: Can the work be done out of working hours?
A: Yes it can. We work through the night or on weekends to suit your requirements. In order to minimise disruption we work every weekend of the year and especially between Christmas and New Year when many people are out of the office. We have recently carried out work in both Harrods and Selfridges starting at 8pm and finishing at 4am. This is no problem for us.
Q: What areas do you work in?
A: Our office is based in central London and we cover all of London. If the enquiry is large enough of if you have more than just your London office we will travel nationwide. We install carpet for a number of hotel chains across the country.
Q: Can you match our existing carpet?
A: Most of the time we can match your carpet unless it is no longer made. If this is the case we will be able to find a very close match.
